Riding on Electric Carts

When in Kolomenskoye, take your chance to ride over the unique and rather vast complex, to see its historic and cultural sites and to hear an exciting audio tour on your way.

The three routes that have been worked out by the present include the best-known sites in Kolomenskoye and give an integrate picture of this famous land’s history.

Route 1: Saviour (Back) GatePalace of the Tsar Alexey Mikhailovich

This route will permit you to travel around the XVII century Tsar’s residence in Kolomenskoye and to see the wonderful palace that used to be situated at its heart and has been lately reconstructed on a new place, near the village of Dyakovo.

On your way, you may listen to the audio guide and learn the history of architectural and natural landmarks, namely the Ascension and Dyakovsky Gardens that made part of the palace residence, the Apothecary Garden, and the XVI century churches built at the epoch of Tsar Ivan the Terrible (Church of the Ascension and Church of Beheading of St. John the Forerunner in Dyakovo), and see the Horse Yard exposition.

Route 2:  Palace of the Tsar Alexey Mikhailovich – Saviour (Back) Gate

This route is a vice-versa version of Route 1.

Route 3 starts and ends at the Saviour (Back) Gate

This is a tour around the lands of the residential Kolomenskoye village and its outskirts. You will have a chance to see the sites that used to belong to the XVI century Moscow Grand Princes’ residence, the XVII century gala residence of the Tsars, and the Imperial palace complex of XVIII and XIX centuries, and to learn the history of the architectural landmarks that have been preserved to the present. Besides, you will see the reconstructed Kolomenskoye Peasant’s Farm and Smith’s Yard, as well as the unique XVII and XVIII century wooden architecture sites.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday – from11:00 to 17:00
Friday and Saturday – from 11:00 to 19:00

Ticket prices for Routes 1 and 2: 100 roubles (full price), 50 roubles (reduced)

(cart departs every 15 minutes)

Ticket prices for Route 3: 250 roubles (full price), 100 roubles (reduced)

Tickets for electric cart tours are available at the Gift Shop near the Saviour (Back) Gate and at the ticket office at the Palace of the Tsar Alexey Mikhailovich.
