Photogallery Izmailovo
In 1676 – 1678, a wooden tsar’s mansion, with a stone basis, living chambers and upper premises for summer (the so-called cherdak’s – “garrets”) was built at the Tsar’s Court, on the Izmailovsky Island. It resembled the palace of the Tsar Alexey Mikhailovich in Kolomenskoye. The children of Alexey Mikhailovich often stayed at the palace. There, at the industrial part of the Tsar’s Court, the young Tsar Peter Alexeevich found the famous boat that was later called “grandfather of the Russian fleet”.
Festivals and concerts at the Museum’s sites
Festivals organized at all the Museum’s sites constitute one of the new lines in the Museum’s activities of the last few years. Thanks to large-scale open-air events organized free of charge for visitors at all the sites of the Museum-Reserve, world music masterpieces can be heard by a great audience.
Old Russian Painting
Old Russian painting is represented by the Museum’s unique collection of XVI – XIX-th - century icons, the majority of which come from Moscow and Moscow region churches and cloisters destroyed in the 1920-1930s. One of the most valuable part of the collection consists of XVI – XVIII-th - century icons delivered to the Museum in 1939 from the abolished Solovetsky monastery.
Victory Day in museum (May, 9)
The holiday was held at three territories of the Integrated Museum-Reserve.
“Masters: the Russian Building Art and Technique of the in 15th – 19th centuries”
The exhibits presented in this exposition are but part of a much larger museum collection made up in the 1920s and 1930s by Peter D. Baranovsky, the Museum’s Director of that time, and expanded by next generations of the museum employees. The exposition focuses on the topic of professional skill and masters and emphasizes the idea of the strong national character of the Russian art of building.
Opening of the National Opera Centre in Izmaylovo estate
1 June 2009, the Aleko opera by Sergey Rakhmaninov was given at the Izmaylovo Tsar’s Residence in the framework of “The Empire of Opera” festival

Dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Battle of Poltava: “Mazepa’, musical and literary performance will be shown within the programme of “Concerts for Ex-servicemen” (traditionally held from 1813 to 1914)
300th anniversary of the victorious Battle of Poltava
9 July 2009, a celebration in memory of those who fought in the Battle of Poltava took place around the newly restored Palace of the Tsar Alexey Mikhailovich in Kolomenskoye. The Palace was originally built by gifted masters and was called “the eighth Wonder of the World” by the contemporaries.
Moscow Day in the Moscow State Integrated Museum-Reserve
5-6 September 2009. This year, Moscow Day was celebrated simultaneously on all the four territories of the Moscow State Integrated Museum-Reserve.
A picturesque performance consisting of several parts took place on a little field in front of the Palace of the Tsar Alexey Mikhailovich. Each part of the program was dedicated to one prominent event in the Russian history, viz. the Battle of Kulikovo (the Golden Horde times, 14th century), the Battle of Poltava (the Great Northern War, 18th century), the Battle of Borodino (the Patriotic War of 1812), and the Battle for Moscow (1941-1942).
New Year and Christmas celebrations in the Moscow State Integrated Museum-Reserve
It’s not the first year that the Moscow State Integrated Museum-Reserve holds New Year and Christmas celebrations in all historical areas at once: in Kolomenskoye, the ancient land full of legends and fables, in Nikolay Durasov’s Palace in Liublino, in Izmailovo, Russian Tsar’s residence, and in Lefortovo Park and Palace Ensemble.

The Moscow State Integrated Museum-Reserve invites everyone to participate in a Great Pancake Week celebration that will take part on all its four historical territories.
The International Day of Monuments and Sites
At the International Day of Monuments and Sites Moscow State United Museum opens doors On April 18, 2010 Moscow State United Museum-Reserve celebrates the Day of historical and cultural heritage of Moscow on four historic areas at the same time: in Kolomenskoye and Izmailovo, old summer residences of Moscow princes, in the palace and park ensemble Lefortovo in the mansion Liublino.
65-year anniversary of Victory in WWII
Moscow State United Museum-Reserve invited guests to a ceremony celebrating the Victory Day May 9, 2010 simultaneously in all territories of the historical Museum: in Kolomenskoye, a virtual gallery of Lefortovo, in Izmailovo, the mansion Lublino.
III Invalid Gala concert
The legend of the world opera scene Giuseppe Giacomini in the royal manor Izmailovo.
12 June 2010 on the day of the state of the national holiday of Russia in the imperial manor Izmailovo passed III Invalid Gala concert dedicated to the outstanding feat of the Russian Navy Admiral Fyodor Ushakov whose fleet had liberated the Kingdom of Naples from the Bonapartist.
During the festival "Empire of the Opera"
The second festival "Empire of the Opera" in the royal manor Izmailovo will be opened with the opera by N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov “Kashchei the Immortal”.
"Night at the Museum"
In the night from May 15 to 16 May 2010 Moscow State United Museum-Reserve participated in the annual, cultural and educational "Night at the Museum".
