The exhibition focuses on creation as well as building and restoration of the world architecture masterpiece, the Church of the Ascension (1532).
At the exhibition you can see pictures and photographs of the church as well as early XX century newsreels.
The latest large-scale restoration at the beginning of the 2000s gave us new material that permitted to find out more about this famous Russian architectural site. Among the exhibits there are archaeological findings and authentic white stone millworks that used to decorate the church.
The church ground floor is considered as a sanctuary by Orthodox believers: you can see a replica of Our Lady of the Sovereign icon that was found here by miracle on 2 March 1917.
