Museum’s concert halls

Dear visitors, children and adults!
You are always welcome at our museum’s concert halls around the year to enjoy various cycles of classical music and jazz concerts as well as stage shows, feasts and interactive programs.

The museum’s programs for the musical year 2018-2019 will answer any taste. Among the concert cycles best-loved by our audience we can name ‘Golden Pages of the Opera Classics’, ‘Classics at Weekends’, ‘By the Harpsichord’, ‘Chamber Music Evenings at Kolomenskoye’, ‘Piano Fantasies’, as well as such forms popular with our little spectators as theatralized concerts and puppet shows, performances as well as ‘Musical Drawing-room’ sessions arranged at the cozy lobby of the Theatre Mansion and focusing on music and literature, and many other interesting events.

And finally, one can hardly imagine the New Year, culmination of our musical season, without jazz concerts. The ‘JAZZ January’ festival will make a fairy-tale present for both Muscovites and the Russian capital’s guests. In half a year we will welcome the guests of the 6th ‘Jazz Summer at Kolomenskoye’ festival, while Liublino is getting ready to host the 1st edition of another festival entitled ‘Harp – the Muses Favourite’ that will be opened in June.

The Theatre Mansion is a comfortable concert hall with a beautifully designed lobby at the Palace of Tsar Alexey Mikhailovich at Kolomenskoye. It sits up to 160 people and is tooled up with modern sound and light equipment. Two excellent Bechstein concert grand pianos, a Bonamici harpsichord and a pipe organ by St. Petersburg master Pavel Chilin permit to perform most various programs ranging from Middle Age music to neoclassics.

The Pink Hall at Nikolay Durasov’s Palace at Liublino is one of the most beautiful chamber halls in Moscow. Do you wish to feel the peculiar atmosphere of gala receptions and feasts that the original owner of this palace-scale country manor house would arrange? We invite you to visit the Pink Hall – a favourite place of meeting for leading Moscow performers and their audience! Under the gala hall vaults you can hear classical music and poetry – concerts take place regularly on Sundays.

The ‘Under the Vaults’ hall at the Tsar’s Courtyard complex of Izmailovo is unusual in style: its vaults remind of Medieval Europe and its marvellous acoustics permits to listen to the guitar, gothic harp and other medieval instruments in their natural beauty. Piano, classical, early and folk music concerts are often arranged here, and since 2016, the hall has been the venue for ‘JAZZ on the Izmailovo Island’ festival. Bright programs, well-known performers and cozy atmosphere will allow you to have a rest and restore your mind.

Concerts take place 2 or 3 times a month, on Sundays, at 3 p.m.
